Onyx Optics, Inc. is a custom optics manufacturer and the inventor and world leader in the manufacture of finished composite crystal and glass components for solid-state lasers. Founded in 1992, Onyx patented its Adhesive-Free Bond (AFB®) technology, which enables the joining of crystal or glass optical materials without the use of an adhesive or organic or inorganic bonding aid.

Composite optical components manufactured using Adhesive-Free Bond (AFB®) technology enable cost-effective laser systems with increased output power and improved beam quality.

In addition to AFB® bonding, Onyx offers full optical finishing capabilities at our facility in Dublin, California, allowing us to manufacture custom optical components to customer specifications. We support our customers from the conceptual design and prototype stages through large-scale production.
